NO Auditions required to join the KidsChoir, just come to rehearsals!!!
EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO JOIN IN AND SERVE THE LORD !!

FYI:
Auditions are for Kids who want a Singing Solo or Drama / Speaking part only.
Auditions are NOT required to participate in the Kids Choir because....
Everyone is Welcome to Join The Kids Choir and Serve the Lord !!!!

AUDITIONS WILL BE HELD OCTOBER 16, 2011
ROOM 202 AT 12:30 SIGN-UP DURING SUNDAY REHEARSALS

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
*Attend Rehearsals: During the first few weeks, we will study the play as a group. Everyone must learn the songs & the choreography first. This allows you to become
more familiar with the musical and the parts and what is expected from you.
Attending Rehearsals prior to the auditions is really a must.

*Singing Auditions: Sing us your favorite song! Bring a CD for music accompaniment.

*Drama Auditions: Please recite a short poem, story, bible verse or words from a play or a song! You will be asked to read a line from the part you are auditioning for.

Memorize it please! Make sure you have what your going to sing or say memorized. Please know that this is a totally stress free audition! We want to meet you and hear your God given talents on an individual basis. Please contact Irene Villanueva if you reallyreally-absolutely-positively-100%-for sure cannot audition on this day .

HERE ARE THE REQUIREMENTS.
You Must be able to Commit to the following: With the help of God, you must make a commitment to our church, to yourself & your peers. You are required to learn & memorize your part, attend rehearsals, attend the dress rehearsal and be able to perform for the early & late worship services.

Please review THE SCHEDULE page on this website with your parents to ensure that you can fulfill the required commitments. It's your responsibility to follow instructions, check the web-site weekly, read & respond to the e-mails. You are responsible for you. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease do not say to me, “I didn’t know about that…”   this reply is not acceptable and it really really really makes me CRAZY!!!

Behind the Scenes
If you don’t want to sing or act, but you would like to be a part of this production, we have many Behind the Scenes Jobs that are very important to the success of all the plays we do. The list is long so come to a rehearsal or send me an email.

ABOUT THE PLAY
It's just before Christmas and the tree ornaments have been awakened from their yearly hibernation by the movement of their storage box. It's time! As they begin to prepare for another season on the Watson's Christmas Tree, they are greeted by a rather strange and "un-Christmassy" ornament: A hula-girl. The Star, the Snowman, the Angel and other ornaments don't understand what she has to do with Christmas and give her a rather cool reception until another significant figure from the mantlepiece shows up to explain to all of them what Christmas is about and how each one of them have significance in God's amazing plan of redemption through His Son, Jesus.

Everyone will be dressed as an AMAZING Christmas Ornament!!
Almost every song has choir choreography. Get Ready to Dance & Sing!

CAST OF CHARACTERS to AUDITION FOR:

ANGELA - The angel that goes on the top of the Christmas Tree
BETH - a star {Star of Bethlehem, "Beth" for short}
FROSTY - the snowman ...
HULA GIRL - a hula girl {with all the accessories...}
TEX - could be TEXI - an out-west-cow-poke-kinda-boy or girl
SOUVENIR ORNAMENTS - baseball player, Statue of Liberty, Disney Characters & more!

There are solo's available in just about every song. Go to The Music page on this website to hear the songs we will be singing for this play. You can audition to one of these songs or use your own song, whatever makes you comfortable!
