Stations of the Cross
Good Friday + 12 Noon + Peace Mound Park + Weston
On this day we will walk in the steps of Christ' final days of life on earth.
We'll hear from some people who knew Jesus -
some who lived with Him and loved Him -
others who met him & feared him.
Each was greatly affected by Jesus' life & ministry here on earth.
As we experience Jesus' story through them,
we walk the way of the cross
and remember that it was through the cross that we were redeemed.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS 2011
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE & important stuff kids must know 6th, 7th & 8th grade Confirmation Requirement and Service Hours graciously given! MANDATORY DRESS REHEARSAL #2 4/22/11 GOOD FRIDAY PERFORMANCE DAY!! Cast arrive at the park 9:30 am sharp. PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME! First - we run through the entire program. Second - we eat breakfast. Third - we break for the bathrooms. Finally - we get into costumes. All before the Service begins at 12:00 Noon. PARKING – please park at WHAT TO WEAR????? TOPS Purple Stations of the Cross T-shirts {church will supply} SHORTS ALL need to be solid color, well above the knee & should be form fitting. Boys – SOLID black, navy blue, dark solid color basketball type shorts. SANDALS flats, flip flops, no hot neon colors please, they need to look biblical- Absolutely no bare feet. {PS. Don’t forget the sunscreen and the deodorant. Most likely it will be a hot sunny day.} BREAKFAST YUMMY!!!!!!! {Adult Helpers} We need Parents to organize & set up a delicious and refreshing Good Friday breakfast for the entire cast & crew. We ask that everyone bring a little something to the table. muffins, bagels, fruit, etc etc etc. So when you get a phone call/email be ready to cook or go to Publix!! After we run through the program we will relax and enjoy a lovely breakfast in the park. DRIVERS WITH BIG TRUCKS {Adult Helpers} 8:00 AM We Need a Supply Brigade to pick up all the supplies from church & deliver it to the park. 1:00ish PM We Need another Brigade to bring it all back to the church when we're done. 11:00 – 11:30 AM We need a Bathroom Brigade - vehicles with lots of seating to transport kids to the bathroom. Please remember to invite your community of friends & neighbors & co-workers & teachers!!! There are so many details associated with this day, every single part is so important to its success. 4/17/11 PALM SUNDAY, 12:30 – 3:00 pm IN THE CHURCH
4/20/11 Wednesday 6:30 – 8:00 pm at
weather permitting... Please go directly to the Park tonight not the church.
So... Please be on Time!
Everyone will be in costume. Underneath your costume you must wear a solid color:
Girls - SOLID “girly” dark colored appropriate shorts.
Please bring the food when you drop off your kid at 9:30 AM.
this includes 3 large crosses, all props, costumes, tables, garbage cans etc.
STAGING THE PARK {Adult Helpers}
8:30 AM we need to set up the 12 stations and props for the service.
Curtains need to be hung, tomb needs to be assembled, last supper table needs to be set,
crosses need to be positioned and more - it's really easy!

Parents, if you are able to stay to help set up and or breakdown it would be most appreciated!
If you are able to stay with us for the morning it would really be most appreciated!
We are in an open park and the safety of our children is a priority.
We have some little ones with us too, so extra pairs of eyes & ears are always welcome.
